A man and four teens have been arrested on allegations that they beat a security guard to death after he found them drinking in a vacant apartment in California.
Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said Wednesday that 22-year-old Tony Sayachack was arrested Saturday and four male juveniles × ages 15 to 17 × were arrested Tuesday.
All five were booked on suspicion of murder. It was unknown if they had attorneys.
Police allege Sayachack and the teens attacked 59-year-old Albert Rodriguez, a security guard at a Fresno apartment complex, on Nov. 19. Police say they beat Rodriguez with pieces of wood and boards after he found them drinking in a vacant apartment and told them to leave.
Rodriguez died Nov. 20 in a Fresno hospital.
