David Deron Haye (born 13 October 1980) is a British professional boxer, and current WBA World Heavyweight Champion. Before joining the heavyweight division, Haye was the undisputed cruiserweight champion, holding the WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring magazine cruiserweight titles after notable victories over Jean-Marc Mormeck and Enzo Maccarinelli. Haye's only professional loss to date was against Carl Thompson in 2004. Haye won the WBA Heavyweight title with a decision over Nikolai Valuev, before defending the title against John Ruiz. Since then, there has been much speculation and anticipation concerning a possible bout with IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in the near future.
