Erik Koland


Erik Koland, Sr. Director of Product Development, is responsible for building partnerships with content providers and publishers at Inform.

Based in San Francisco, Erik is focused on forming meaningful, results-oriented partnerships and helping Inform shape product enhancements to best address publisher needs. He is deeply interested in continuing to expand and share his insights in the areas of video monetization, delivery, analytics, audience engagement, SEO, syndication and player performance.

Erik has spent the past ten years helping publishers grow audiences and revenue with online video. He began his digital video career in 2006, in content licensing and account management for Akimbo, a Kleiner Perkins-backed IPTV startup. Afterwards, he managed West Coast strategic accounts for Brightcove from 2009-2013. Prior to Inform, he built Tout’s network of publisher partnerships within the lifestyle and entertainment verticals.

Erik received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Occidental College in Los Angeles. Outside of the video universe, Erik coaches and plays masters water polo and hosts large, semi-annual lawn game tournaments in Golden Gate Park.
